Closing Words (Frances Deverell)
Before I say the closing words, I would like to invite all of
you to write down something about Sylvia. The Sanders family will treasure your
memories. In the Order of Service there is a piece of blank paper on which you
can write an anecdote or comment about some connection you had with Sylvia.
Please place that paper with your name on the
memory
wall in the Fellowship Hall. It will be placed on Sylvia's
Memorial Website which has a wealth of
photos reflecting all the facets of Sylvia's full and remarkable life.
Sylvia Sanders was a great presence in the lives of many of us. As you leave, I
invite you to carry with you these values which she cherished above all:
Be curious.
Explore your world.
Look for the truth with your mind and your heart.
Dare to dream.
Be engaged.
You'll get out of life what you put into it.
You have the power to make a difference in what you care about.
Remember, you do not have to do what she did. Be the unique and special person
that you are, and be the best that you can be.
