Bristol Aerospace

Bristol Aerospace of Winnipeg, a part of Magellan Aerospace, produces two rockets used as targets to test “missile defense” weapons systems and to train their operators.

The Excalibur, a two-stage, ballistic missile has been used in BMD war games since 1999, when it was used in “the first ever Theater Ballistic Missile target engagement” at NORAD’s “Roving Sands Air Defense Firing Exercise” in New Mexico.

Bristol was contracted to create the Black Brant in 1957 by a Canadian government agency called the Canadian Armaments Research & Development Establishment. It‘s been used ever since by many branches of the US military, and, since at least 1998, they’ve used it to collect data on tracking and targeting BMD weapons called THAAD, Theater High Altitude Area Defense.
