In March 2003, Canada's multibillion frigates -- with 1300 Canadian troops onboard – escorted U.S. warships through the Persian Gulf so they could launch the war with the “shock-and-awe” bombardment of Iraqi cities.
 
A Canadian Rear-Admiral was put in charge of allied war ships.

So much for not being involved, eh?
