The U.S. and Australia are using
hundreds of these Canadian-made, tank-like, Light Armoured Vehicles (LAVs)
in the Iraq war.
Between October 2003
and November 2005 alone, these armed, troop-transport vehicles
have accumulating over 6 million miles in
Iraq.
Built in London,
Ontario, by General Dynamics Canada (formerly known as General Motors Canada
- Diesel Division), hundreds of
these LAVs
have also been repaired
and upgraded in Ontario
so that they can be returned to Iraq
for more
combat duty.
