Canada also provides advisors and financial support to Iraq’s Interior Ministry. What's wrong with that?

* This Ministry has been caught running torture centres,

* Thousands of its officers have been withdrawn for corruption, and

* It works with death squads accused of executing a thousand people per month in Baghdad alone this past summer.

The RCMP, which isn't exactly known to worry much about the torture of Canadian citizens abroad (ask Maher Arar), should have nothing to do with this notorious Iraqi institution and its faceless commandos.
