On May 21,
Afghanistan's MPs banned Malalai from parliament for 3 years, she cannot
leave the country and they have told the high court to prosecute her.
Why? Earlier they
passed a law
which
forbids
lawmakers from insulting one another.
Last year
they passed a law
giving amnesty to all
Afghans guilty of any war crimes over the past 25 years.
So the
warlords cannot be prosecuted for their crimes but it is for an MP to
criticise them.
This is the
democracy that Canada helped create and is now propping up.
It is a total farce.
