pipeline. After retiring,
Jean Chretien
-- whose government got us into this war -- became the
“Special Advisor” to
Calgary’s PetroKazakhstan Inc..
In that capacity, he travelled to Turkmenistan in 2004, to
talk to its
authoritarian leader about the trans-Afghan pipeline.
We can’t reduce this war to any single issue. But we
do
have to examine who benefits.
Another beneficiary, one that profits whenever there
are wars, is known
by many
names…
