Missile defence is supposed to be a
defensive
shield to protect the homeland from attack by rogue states or
terrorists.
This is a big lie. It can’t possibly work to cover
such a huge area.

it’s a linguistic shield whose real military purpose is to deflect
public criticism.
It’s a verbal shield that defends a whole slew of
sea-, land-, air- and
space-based
weapons whose real goals are extremely offensive.
