When
they,
the
masters of war, look at
us,
the public, they see a two-edged sword.
They know
they need us, but they also know that we are their biggest potential enemy.
So,
their
wars are
always waged on two
opposing,
yet equally important,
fronts.
A
literal
war of
weapons and a
metaphorical
war of words.
They face
an
enemy in
battle,
as well as
an
enemy at home,
and –
as Pogo would say – “we is them.”
But if we are serious about withholding
our consent for war,
and stopping it in its tracks, we
would
have to give them a
REAL NO, not
just an empty political gesture.
Speaking of
empty political gestures,
let's get back to Canada's "NO to BMD".
