The game of war requires
trickery and deception.
Lately I’ve heard it argued that
we need to tell Councillors that war is not an effective means of conflict
resolution.
The trouble with this is that War
is NOT a means of conflict resolution at all.
It’s not that war is an
ineffective
means of resolving conflicts. War is the epitomy of large-scale, armed
conflict. Wars are not fought to resolve conflict, that is not their
function.
This is part of the deception.
Part of the trickery necessary to get us to support wars.
So, what then is the real function of war?
