Canada Pension Plan

The CPP forces millions of workers to invest their hard-earned savings in war. In fact, as I exposed in a 2003 issue of COAT’s magazine seen here, CPP investments then included over $2.25 billion in 140 military-related companies. These now include 16 of the world’s top 20 war industries (listed at the right).

That issue focused largely on CPP investments in US corporations producing dozens of major weapons systems used in the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

I also included much original research, like data on 100 Canadian military companies providing parts and services for the weapons used in Iraq.

CPP investments also include many of the world's top prime contractors for "missile defense" weapons, including "The Big Four”:

Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Northrop Grumman.

COAT created a online petition demanding that the CPP divest from war-related industries. Thousands have signed it and left their comments:
