And now for some examples of Canadian War Industries and how they are integrated into the BMD weapons program.
First just note on my terminology:
In all my years of writing pamphlets and articles on military companies, I’ve always avoided calling them “defence” industries. I find it jarring whenever I hear that term, especially from peace activists. The term is a deceptive façade used by the war industries themselves, and their apologists, to present their profiteering in a favourable light.
Anyone feeling squeamish about saying “war” industries, can just call them “military” industries, which is a neutral term. Gracing these companies with the adjective, “defence,” is not neutral; its actually counterproductive and undermines the anti-war movement's efforts.
