This was, of course, the oft-repeated slogan of Reagan’s nefarious war on drugs in the 1980s.

This catchphrase likely has some special meaning for George Bush Jr. who has repeatedly dodged questions about his alleged cocaine use in the early 1970s. His advisors apparently told him to modify the slogan. They said: “Just say, no comment”.

But I digress, my point here is that, as anti-war activists, we have to ensure that our politicians and their allies in industry, academia, the military and elsewhere, don’t “just SAY no,” they must take practical, concrete actions to ensure a “REAL NO” to Star Wars and “missile defense.”
