So, two days later, we got their bogus proclamation.

Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew stood up in the House and, after the obligatory painting of BMD as a system for protecting American “citizens and territory,” which it is not, he said:

“we will not participate in the U.S. [BMD] system.”

However, he did not elaborate on how this would affect -- in any real, concrete terms -- all the ways that we were already participating.
