Success!
COAT's antiCANSEC weapons bazaar campaign
This year's campaign against CANSEC -- spirited by the Coalition to Oppose the Arms Trade (COAT) -- was a lot of work, but it was well worth it!  We raised public awareness, strengthened our community of opposition to Canada's war-industry, and held a festive peace rally outside this country's largest weapons bazaar.

(1) Rally for Peace!
Our campaign culminated on June 2 when over 300 hundred people joined our Rally for Peace!  See videos and photos of the rally, with all the speakers, poets and musicians.  We decorated the CANSEC fence with more than 100 colourful anti-war posters, signs and banners.

(2) Building the Peace/antiWar Community!
Many individuals and groups worked together for months on COAT's grassroots campaign to expose and oppose CANSEC 2010.  Thanks to all those who participated!  Next year will be even better!  Here's the list of groups that helped.

(3) Raising Public Awareness!
News of our efforts spread far and wide, thanks to the internet, leafletting, word of mouth and the traditional media.  Click here for a list of links to 30+ print, radio and TV stories about CANSEC.  (Most of this coverage referred to COAT's efforts.)
