In June 1996, to recognise their special role in the organisation, the Coalition to Oppose the Arms Trade (COAT) organising a large "Potluck Dinner Party" to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. This event was designed to "honour them and their relentless work for peace." Letter of Invitation (summarising Roy and Sylvia's lives and their longstanding commitment to peace .
